| Abstract: | У статті розглянуто етимологічні та теоретичні основи, пов’язані із загальними положеннями дефініції домашнього арешту. Досліджено зміст та обсяг поняття домашнього арешту у площині системи координат. Запропоновано визначення поняття домашнього арешту, яке ґрунтується на суттєвих (істотних) ознаках цього запобіжного заходу.

The article examines the etymological and theoretical foundations relating to the General provisions definition of house arrest. Researched the content and scope of the concept of house arrest in the plane of the coordinate system.The proposed definition of house arrest that is based on relevant (essential) characteristics of this measure.
