| Abstract: | The binary bromides and iodides of Rubidium, Cesium and Manganese were synthesized, purified, and identified with the differential thermal analysis (DTA) and X-ray powder diffraction techniques (XRD). Nearly optimum technical conditions for obtaining single crystals of the compounds Rb2(Cs2)MnBr4(I4) have been developed. All the obtained single crystals have been found to be rather instable and sensitive to moisture, and the most plausible oxidation scheme has been proposed. |
