Abstract

Стаття «Українська газета «Веселка» в рецепції Олени Рудловчак» висвітлює питання наукового осмислення Оленою Рудловчак, вченою з Пряшева (Словаччина), історії становлення та розвитку української газети «Веселка». Недослідженість преси українців зарубіжжя другої половини ХХ ст., зокрема й у Чехословаччині, залишається невирішеною журналістикознавчою проблемою. Олена Рудловчак мала багатий досвід журналістської практики у національних засобах масової інформації українців, що проживають у межах іншого державного утворення, а отже, добре знала специфіку й нюанси становлення й функціонування преси нацменшин. З огляду на ці фактори порушена в статті тема є актуальною. Дослідження змісту праці О. Рудловчак, розгляд порушених у ній проблемних питань, з’ясування методологічних засад та методичних принципів наукового опрацювання матеріалу вченою стало метою пропонованої статті. У процесі аналізу було спостережено, що серед обставин, які мотивували її зацікавлення історією журналістики краю, були: 1) робота над вивченням життя і творчості закарпатського будителя ХІХ ст. О. Духновича, її професійна діяльність як журналіста; усвідомлення ролі преси для національного самоствердження, збереження національної ідентичності українців, соціально, економічно, культурно пригноблених в етнічно чужій державі. Наші спостереження показали, що у статті, написаній з нагоди 25-річчя української піонерської газети «Веселка », О. Рудловчак, базуючись на принципі історизму, простежує шлях становлення й розвитку з його піднесеннями й спадами українських періодичних видань для дітей та молоді після Другої світової війни у Чехословаччині у контексті розвитку української преси в цей період. Ретельному аналізу підданий базовий рівень «Веселки», яким стали попередні російськомовні і двомовні видання − «Колокольчик – Дзвіночок», «Пионерская газета», «Піонерська газета» та його традиції. Важливою запорукою успіху чи занепаду видання авторка вважає зв’язок із рідним «ґрунтом», своїм народом, українцями. Серед вигідних позицій «Веселки», порівняно з іншими виданнями, підкреслено наявність конкретного читача – розуміння його запитів, смаків, уподобань, психіки і под. Це стимулює колектив до креативного пошуку, що відображається в тематиці, рубрикації, ілюстраціях і створює багатогранність видання. Заслуговують на увагу професійні поради та рекомендації О. Рудловчак як науковця і практика-журналіста щодо поліпшення видання, які годяться до застосування й сьогодні. На основі досліджуваного можемо твердити, що наукова студія О. Рудловчак, присвячена газеті «Веселка», розширює горизонти процесу становлення та розвитку української преси зарубіжжя у другій половині ХХ століття. Вона репрезентує специфіку функції видань для українських дітей в етнічно нерідному середовищі, подає основні складові змісту й форми моделі такого часопису. Наше дослідження має перспективу у вивченні інших вагомих для журналістської науки праць О. Рудловчак, а також історії української журналістики повоєнного часу в Чехословаччині.

The paper «Ukrainian Newspaper «Veselka» in the perception of Olena Rudlovchak» highlights the issues of scientific understanding by Olena Rudlovchak (the researcher from Pryashev), the history of the formation and the development of the Ukrainian newspaper «Veselka». Investigation of the press of Ukrainians of the second half of the 20th century, and namely in Czechoslovakia, still remains an unsolved journalistic problem. Olena Rudlovchak possessed rich experience of journalistic practice in national mass media of Ukrainians living within the framework of other state formation, being well aware of the specifics and the functioning of the press of national minorities. Taking these facts into consideration the subject matter of the article is topical and up-to-date. The study of the content of O. Rudlovchak’s work, the consideration of the problematic issues raised, the clarification of methodological bases and methodical principles of the scientific study is the purpose of the article under consideration. 1) Her interest in the history of journalism was evoked by studying the life and work of O. Dukhnovych, the Transcarpathian pagan of the nineteenth century; 2) her professional activity as a journalist; 3) the awareness of the role of the press for national self-affirmation, the preservation of national identity of Ukrainians being socially, economically and culturally oppressed in an ethnically alien state. In the paper written to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Ukrainian pioneer newspaper «Veselka», O. Rudlovchak, on the basis of the principle of historicism, traces the formation and the development with its ups and downs of Ukrainian periodicals for children and youth after the Second World War in Czechoslovakia in the context of the Ukrainian press development within this period of time. The basic content of «Veselka», being presented by the former Russian-language and bilingual editions ‒ «Kolokolchyk-Dzvinochok», «Pionerskaya Gazeta», «Pionerska Hazeta», and its traditions has been subjected to a thorough analysis. According to the author, an important guarantee of success or decline of the edition is the connection with the motherland, her people, and Ukrainians. Among the advantages of «Veselka», in comparison with other editions, the author stresses the presence of a specific reader ‒ children and adolescence, the understanding of the demands of the audience, tastes, preferences, psyche etc. It stimulates the team to creativity, which is reflected in topics, rubrics, illustrations, favouring the creation of a versatile edition. The professional advice and recommendations of O. Rudlovchak as a scientist and journalistpractitioner aimed at improving the publication, which are suitable for application, are also noteworthy today. On the basis of the research, one might state that the scientific studio by O. Rudlovchak devoted to the newspaper «Veselka», expands and deepens the scientific discourse on the process of formation and development of the Ukrainian press abroad in the second half of the twentieth century. It represents the specifics of the creation, functioning, and tasks of the magazines for Ukrainian children in an ethnically non-native environment, and presents the basic components of the content and form of the model of such a publication. The perspective of the research lies in the study of other important journalistic works by O. Rudlovchak, as well as the history of post-war Ukrainian journalism in Czechoslovakia.
