Abstract: | The effect of di- and tricyclic derivatives of xanthine upon the contractile activity was studied in pregnant rats of Vistar line. It has been fixed that usage of tricyclic derivatives of xanthine containing m-benzyl radical in the first position and p-benzyl radical in the second position resulted in а statistically significant suppression of the myometrium contractility and frequency bу 41,6% (р<О,001) and 21,8% (р<О,01) accordingly when administered for five days at 4 mg/ kg/ day і.р. The usage of other derivatives of xanthine ( compounds 158 and 162) does not differ authentically from the reference-agents gynipral, instenone and euphylline. Di- and tricyclic derivatives of xanthine have tocolytic properties and they are respective compounds for synthesis of new effective medicines for prophylaxis and pharmacotherapy of threat of premature birth. |
