Міжетнічна толерантність як основа концепції полікультурості в державній політиці США

Abstract

Здійснено дослідження проблеми етнічних взаємовідносин в США. Виявлені сучасні підходи до проблеми етнічних відносин. Особлива увага звертається на концепцію полікультурного розвитку американського суспільства, оскільки в США існують різні етнічні культури. Сьогодні уряд США працює над подальшим розвитком ідей полікультурного підходу в освіті. Підкреслюється, що досвід США може бути корисним для України. Ключові слова: США, етнічні відносини, полікультурний підхід.

The research of the problem of ethnic relations in USA has been carried out. Modern trends of ethnic relations regulation have been highlighted. Special attention has been paid to the concept of multicultural development of American society because of existence of different ethnic cultures in multinational modern American state. This article also deals with educational problems of ethnic population in the United States of America. It is underlined that segregation in education has existed in the USA for a long time. Representatives of ethnic minorities had no equal rights in the field of education. Situation has changed since the princeples of multicultural approach were introduced. Today the government of the USA works on the further development of ideas of policultural approach in education. It is underlined that the USA experience may be useful for Ukraine.
