Спортивна тематика на шпальтах україномовних часописів Закарпаття 20-30-х рр. ХХ ст. як фактор формування національної ідеї

Abstract

The article deals with sports themes in the Ukrainian press of Transcarpathia in 20-30 years of the 20th century. The sports subjects are regarded as a factor of formation of the national idea. In particular the investigation shows the role of physical culture in spreading of national consciousness among the local population on the example of the newspaper “Svoboda” and its football themes. We came to a conclusion that sport was one of the important factors in struggle of Transcarpathia Ukrainians for their cultural and national rights.
