| Abstract: | The author of the article takes up studying the symbolism of the colours in the short stories written bу the Ukrainian writer of the 1 st half of the ХХ с. Hnat Mykhaylychenko. The symbolism of the colours in the short stories of the above writer helps to perceive the complicated metaphoric meaning the heroes are endowed with, to understand the underlying context of the short stories. The symbolism of the colours in the short stories bу Mykhaylychenko has the deep roots struck into the ancient Ukrainian tradition of colours interpretation what is in harmony with the world model of colours symbols understanding . |
