Вплив анексії Криму на безпеку держав Балтійсько-Чорноморського регіону

Abstract

The annexation of Crimea is a threat to European security system, and directly to the States of the Baltic-Black Sea region. The loss of territory, which is of great geopolitical importance, eventually weakened the position of Ukraine in the Black Sea region. The growth of Russian military and political influence in the Black Sea is also a potential danger in such countries as Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey and Georgia. Precedent «protection» of the Russian-speaking population may be implemented in the Baltic States, where possible intensification of separatist movements. An effective deterrent factor of Russian expansion could become the Baltic-Black Sea Union, but its creation is now impossible for objective reasons.
