Латинська мова в сучасній медичній освіті: виклики й перспективи

Abstract

У статті розглянуто виклики й перспективи викладання латинської мови в медичних закладах вищої освіти України в умовах військового стану. Акцентовано увагу на зниженні мотивації студентів до навчання, а також на важливості латини як фундаментального складника професійної підготовки медиків. Проаналізовано основні фак-тори, що впливають на мотивацію студентів, зокрема відсутність попередньої підготовки, усе більшу роль англійської мови в медичній сфері, а також обмежену кількість годин, відведених на вивчення латини у вищій школі. Крім того, звернено увагу на психологічні аспекти навчання, зокрема вплив стресу й перевантаженості студентів, на їхню здат-ність до засвоєння матеріалу.Особливу увагу приділено методам активного й інтерактивного навчання, які сприяють зростанню інтересу здо-бувачів вищої освіти до дисципліни. Запропоновано використання сучасних підручників, цифрових технологій, муль-тимедійних засобів, а також упровадження методик Problem-based learning, Team-based learning, Case-based learning для підвищення ефективності викладання. Обґрунтовано необхідність збільшення годин на практичне освоєння ла-тинської медичної термінології та впровадження базового вивчення латини в спеціалізованих закладах освіти. За-пропоновано створення відкритих онлайн-курсів з латини, які можуть бути доступними для широкого кола студентів незалежно від місця їхнього навчання, а також розроблення інтерактивних мобільних застосунків для самостійного вивчення медичної термінології.Перспективи подальших досліджень включають розроблення адаптованих програм викладання латини для медич-них спеціальностей, розширення інтеграції міждисциплінарних зв’язків, а також оцінювання ефективності запропоно-ваних методик у навчальному процесі. Особливо важливим напрямом є впровадження комбінованих форм навчання, що поєднують традиційні методи з новітніми технологіями, а також розвиток співпраці між вищими навчальними закладами й медичними установами для створення практико-орієнтованого підходу до вивчення латинської мови.

The article examines the challenges and prospects of teaching Latin language in medical institutions of higher education in Ukraine under martial law. The emphasis is on the decrease in students’ motivation to study, as well as the importance of Latin as a fundamental component of the professional training of doctors. The main factors affecting students’ motivation are analyzed, in particular the lack of prior training, the growing role of English language in the medical field, as well as the limited number of hours allocated to studying Latin in higher education. In addition, attention is paid to the psychological aspects of learning, in particular the impact of stress and overload on students’ ability to learn the material. Particular attention is paid to active and interactive learning methods that contribute to increasing the interest of higher education applicants in the discipline. The use of modern textbooks, digital technologies, multimedia tools, as well as the introduction of Problem-based learning, Team-based learning, Case-based learning methods to increase teaching efficiency are proposed. The need of increasing the hours for practical mastery of Latin medical terminology and the introduction of basic Latin language study in specialized educational institutions is substantiated. The creation of open online Latin courses that can be accessible to a wide range of students regardless of their place of study is proposed, as well as the development of interactive mobile applications for independent study of medical terminology. Prospects for further research include the development of adapted Latin teaching programs for medical specialties, the expansion of the integration of interdisciplinary connections, and the assessment of the effectiveness of the proposed methods in the educational process. A particularly important direction is the introduction of combined forms of learning that combine traditional methods with the latest technologies, as well as the development of cooperation between higher education institutions and medical institutions to create a practice-oriented approach to studying Latin.
