Abstract

The article is about the study of success as an integral part of culture of native speakers of English. Due to modern methodology of the concept study the author presents the lexical material which characterizes the attitude to success from different angles. Success is defined as a result of persistent actions, attempts and efforts; it possesses social, financial and professional qualities. In the framework of comparative linguistics the author considers it perspective to compare success in the context of Ukrainian and English linguocultures.
