Лексико-семантична і словотвірна природа мотивації Мовного знака

Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the lexico-semantic and word-building nature of the linguistic unit motivation. The lexico-semantic and word-building nature of the linguistic unit motivation is determined by the different types of the motivation. The motivation can be of direct / indirect, figurative / metaphoric, peripheral / associative sense. The analysis of the different lexico-grammatical classes of the word has made it possible to distinguish the following types of the motivation with different relations between the linguistic units: the derivatives with the meaning of thingness and attribute and the object-subject meaning; and the composites (the compound units) which semantics is based on the pragmatic motivation.
