«Не озирайся і мовчи» Макса Кідрука на фентезійному тлі першої чверті ххі століття

Abstract

У фентезійній прозі України першої чверті ХХІ ст. суперечливістю позицій виділяються романи Макса Кідрука. Балансуючи між національною традицією й зарубіжним художнім досвідом, він створює корпус яскравих текстів, доступних для осягнення за умови об’єктивної оцінки в координатах традиції й новаторства. Як репрезентант сучас-ного українського фентезі роман «Не озирайся і мовчи» викликає інтерес у зв’язку з послідовним проявленням у ньому парадигмальної фентезійної трансформації перших десятиліть ХХІ ст., а також у площині художньої авто-номності й новаторства письменника, що стосовно відповідних аспектів твір не досліджувався. Між тим його ком-паративний аналіз як кращого з виданих фентезійних текстів М. Кідрука дозволяє з’ясувати бачення місця роману в національному літературному процесі, розкриває питання творчої генези й міжлітературного діалогу в ньому. У статті вперше визначено місце роману «Не озирайся і мовчи» на сучасному фентезійному тлі в аспекті харак-теру відображення у творі парадигмальної трансформації метажанру перших десятиліть ХХІ ст. Також уперше здійснено компаративний аналіз твору у зв’язку з системною рецепцією М. Кідруком творчості С. Кінга; висвітлено своєрідність трансформації в романі комплексу Мінотавра й концепту лабіринту у форматі відповідного інтерпре-таційного кластера. Параметри «Не озирайся і мовчи» засвідчують закономірність його появи на сучасному світовому й україн-ському метажанровому тлі, його суголосність провідним тенденціям фентезійного мистецтва. Результати аналізу роману свідчать про неординарність реалізації М. Кідрука у фентезійній площині, оскільки в цьому творі орга-нічно поєдналися власний талант автора і досвід масової культури західного канону. Послідовний вплив останньої в особі С. Кінга відчутний, але не затінює оригінальні жанрові рішення українського експериментатора. «Не ози-райся і мовчи» перебуває в руслі парадигмальних змін фентезійного простору перших десятиліть ХХІ ст., і супро-відні аспекти відповідних процесів (зокрема, тяжіння героя до темного начала, посилення жіночого первня) виявляє варіативно. Найбільш концентрованим у цьому сенсі є ускладнення проміжного міжсвітового простору до рівня варіанта переосмислення концепту античного Лабіринту. Зіставлення «Не озирайся і мовчи» з «Розою Меддер» С. Кінга є продуктивним дослідницьким кластером у стратегії компаративного осягнення місця фентезійного та інших текстів М. Кідрука у світовому літературно-мистецькому процесі. In the fantasy prose of Ukraine in the first quarter of the XXI century, the novels by Max Kidruk stand out for their con-tradictory positions. Balancing between national tradition and foreign artistic experience, he creates a corpus of vivid texts that are accessible for comprehension subject to objective assessment in the coordinates of tradition and innovation. As a representative of modern Ukrainian fantasy, the novel “Don’t Look Back and Be Silent” is of interest due to the consistent manifestation in it of the paradigmatic fantasy transformation of the first decades of the XXI century, as well as in terms of the writer’s artistic autonomy and innovation, which have not been studied in relation to the relevant aspects of this artistic work. Meanwhile, its comparative analysis as the best of M. Kidruk’s published fantasy texts allows us to clarify the vision of the novel’s place in the national literary process, reveals the questions of creative genesis and interliterary dialogue in it. Our article defines the place of the novel “Don’t Look Back and Be Silent” in the modern fantasy background in terms of the nature of the reflection in this artistic work of the paradigmatic transformation of the metagenre of the first decades of the XXI century for the first time. Also, for the first time, a comparative analysis of this novel was carried out in connec-tion with M. Kidruk’s systemic reception of S. King’s work; the originality of the transformation in the novel of the Minotaur complex and the concept of the labyrinth in the format of the corresponding interpretative cluster was highlighted. The parameters of “Don’t Look Back and Be Silent” testify to the regularity of its appearance on the modern global and Ukrainian metagenre background, its consonance with the leading tendencies of fantasy art. The results of the analysis of the novel indicate the uniqueness of M. Kidruk’s implementation in the fantasy plane, since this artistic work organically combines the author’s own talent and the experience of mass culture of the Western canon. The consistent influence of the latter factor in the person of S. King is palpable, but does not overshadow the original genre solutions of the Ukrai-nian experimenter. “Don’t Look Back and Be Silent” is in line with the paradigmatic changes in the fantasy space of the first decades of the XXI century, and the accompanying aspects of the corresponding processes (in particular, the hero’s attraction to the dark side, the strengthening of the feminine primacy) are revealed in a variegated manner. The most con-centrated in this sense is the complication of the intermediate interworld space to the level of a variant of reinterpretation the concept of the ancient Labyrinth. The comparison of “Don’t Look Back and Be Silent” with “Rose Madder” by S. King is a productive research cluster in the strategy of comparative comprehension of the place of M. Kidruk’s fantasy novel and his other artistic texts in the world literary-artistic process.
