Abstract

In the article at first investigates the aspects of expressing identity in the prose of Ivan Yatskanyn on the materials of the author’s first collection "Home" and "Leave everything". The author paid most attention for the expression of identity, searching of human self, and for the problems of national identity. For the peculiarity of expressing identity acts the native space that art is interpreted by the author as a spiritual category.
