Репрезентативна специфіка наративної моделі у художньому просторі постмодернізму

Abstract

The author of the article considers the representative essential quality of the narrative model as an instrument of the cognitive theory. Henceforward such narrative model may exist as a form of representation of the knowledge in the context of certain mental structures. Whereat it can serve to grasp the rhisomatic structure of the communicative continuum of the British postmodernist text and later to form its adequate comprehension. Thorough analysis of the John Fowles’s novel “The French Lieutenant Woman” manifests that the postmodernist text resides in the complex system of intertextual connections with other texts of former cultural periods, whereas it sojourns with different performative ties of a certain genre tradition, parodying of which becomes formal pivot of the whole British literary postmodernist text.
