Участь політичних партій Республіки Македонії у виборчому процесі (90-ті роки ХХ ст. – початок ХХІ ст.)

Abstract

In this article participation of Macedonian political parties is analysed. First parliamentary elections on the multiparty basis took place in November-December 1990 when Macedonia was still a part of Former Republic Yugoslavia. Elections were organized with accordance to the Law “On elections and recall deputies and members of elected bodies” which was approved in September 1990. Electoral competition was among three blocks of political parties: leftist and two nationalistic Macedonian and Albanian parties. Liders of leftist parties were former communist. Elections 1994 showed that only 7 parties had support of 3%. Proportional electoral system was introduced on the elections of 1998. Author stressed out that actually won the most influential parties. Author also came to the conclusions that two political parties actually concurrents SDSM and VMPO-DPNE; second victory is not possible without coalition with Albanian political parties.
