Анотація
The article focuses on theoretical concepts of the category of addressee and addressee-determined rhetorical peculiarities of the language genre of ‘political comment’ in the German newspapers ‘BILD’ and ‘FAZ’ that represent a tabloid and a quality edition respectively. It is reasonable that political comment in FAZ embodies an invariant of the language genre while political comment in BILD displays features of a phatic language behavior.
