Деякі аспекти сучасної системи вищої освіти США

Abstract

В статті здійснена загальна характеристика сучасної системи вищої освіти США. Особлива увага звертається на трансформаційні процеси, які відбуваються в американській вищій школі впрoдовж останніх десятиріч. Підкреслюється, що американська система вищої освіти була істотно поліпшена в ході минулого століття. Дуже важливі зміни відбулися в системі професійної підготовки фахівців в кінці XX-го і початку XXI-го століття. Ці зміни забезпечили високу якість підготовки професійних фахівців в США і може бути використаний як приклад для всіх інших країн, включаючи Україну, яка має намір інтегруватися в світову освітню систему. In this article the main aspects of the modern system of American higher education are considered. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the structure of American higher education system (universities, colleges, special institutions). Educational programs and curricula are discussed as well as the questions of decentralisation, financial support of American higher school and the possibilities to be well educated for all categories of population. It is underlined that the American system of higher education has been essentially improved in the course of last century. Very important changes took place in the system of professional training of specialists at the end of XX-th and the beginning of XXI-st century. These changes provided the high quality of professional specialists’ training in the USA and may be used as an example for all other countries including Ukraine which has intention to integrate with the world educational system.
