dc.description.abstract	It is reported about the discovery of rare species considered as an extinct in Ukraine Selaginella helvetica (L.) Spring in the Vyhorlat-Hutyn mountains. The ecological and co- enotic characteristics of the habitat have been shown and the perspectives of the population of this species in connection with anthropogenic factors have beеn found out.
