| dc.description.abstract | Using the thermographic analysis method, the process of initial oxide interaction in the Bi2O3-GeO2 and Bi2O3-SiO2 systems has been studied. The mechanism of production of Bi12GeO20, Bi4Ge3O12, Bi12SiO20, Bi4Si3O12 compounds as well as their thermal stability at the air have been found. Peculiarities of solid-phase synthesis in the Bi2O3-GeO2 system have been specified. The fact of system layering under cooling with partial formation of vitreous phase has been found. Using the Czochralski method, the optically high-quality Bi12GeO20, Bi4Ge3O12 and Bi12SiO20 single crystals with up to 30 mm diameter have been produced. Some specific features of their crystallization are presented. | uk |
