“Дунайсько-карпатська” політика Римської імперії в добу правління династії Антонінів

Abstract

Стаття присвячена аналізу різних джерел, що відносяться до конкретної системи взаємовідносин Римської імперії з племенами Карпатського регіону, під час правління династії Aнтонінів (96 - 192 рр.). Римська зовнішня політика в цю добу характеризується певними особливостями: багатофункціональною лімесною політикою, потужними військовими кампаніями, диференціацією племен регіону та спробами поставити їх під повний контроль за допомогою системи мирних договірних зобов’язань. Реалізація цієї політики полягала у подальшому просуванні римлян в напрямку Карпатських гір і трансформації регіону в стабільний кордон Риму. Але внутрішня криза і соціальні зміни в середовищі племен призвели до відмови від цієї мети і визначили перехід до нового етапу історичного розвитку зовнішньої політики Риму на східних кордонах Імперії.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the various sources, which allow to elucidate the original system of mutual relations of the Roman Empire with tribes of the Carpathian region in the time of the rule of Antonine’s dynasty (96 - 192 AD). Foreign policy of Rome in this epoch was characterized by the next moments: multifunction limeses policy, powerful military companies, differentiation of the tribes and an attempt to put them under the powerful control by the system of peaceful agreements. The realization of this policy had for an object subsequent advancement into the Carpathian mountains and transformation of the mountain system to the stable border of Rome. But interior crisis and social changes in the environment of the tribes led to the waiver of this purpose and switching to the new stage of development on east borders of Empire.
