Розгортання православного руху в Північно-Східній Угорщині в 1907-1913 рр. та підготовка нового судового процесу

Abstract

У статті розглядаються процеси розширення православного руху на теренах сучасного Закарпаття. Автор спирається на широку джерельну базу, яка представлена архівами Австрії, Угорщини, Румунії, Сербії, України, США, періодику та праці попередників. Прослідковуються діяльність підпільних православних громад в окремих селах, показана координація в їх управлінні. У статті розкриваються проблеми опіки сербських архієреїв над православними вірниками Закарпаття, з’ясовано роль окремих єпископів та священиків у цьому процесі. Чимало місця у публікації відведено діяльності ієромонаха Олексія (Кабалюка), який зумів об’єднати розрізнені громади в єдине ціле та залучити до православного руху значну кількість населення. Значна увага приділена реакції греко-католицького духовенства та єпископів на питання виходу вірян із їхньої деномінації. Автор наголошує, що окремі священики задля власних інтересів виступали проти руху, залучаючи для цього поліцію та застосовуючи насильство проти селян. На основі вивчення джерел та літератури встановлено, що греко-католицьке духовенство безпідставно звинуватило православних у політичній діяльності, намагаючись таким чином залучити до придушення селянського руху державний апарат. У статті охарактеризовано судові переслідування та підготовку процесу проти православних, виокремлено відповідальних за терор осіб та їх співучасників. Автор прослідкував спроби законної реєстрації православних громад та показав засоби, які застосовувала влада для того, щоб не допустити утворення парафій та приїзду православних священиків. Проаналізовано позицію періодичних видань щодо даного питання, вказано на суб’єктивність окремих редакцій. Наголошується на значному резонансі, який виник внаслідок переслідування православних та організації проти них судового процесу. The paper studies the processes of expanding the Orthodox movement in the contemporary Transcarpathian region. The author’s research is based on a wide variety of sources, which are represented in the archives of Austria, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine and the United States, periodicals and the predecessors’ works. In certain villages the functioning of secret Orthodox communities is traced; coordinating in their management is shown. The article reveals the problems of the guardianship of the Serbian bishops over the Orthodox believers of Transcarpathia. The role of individual bishops and priests in this process was clarified. The publication dwells upon the activities of the Hieromonk Oleksii (Kabaliuk) who managed to unite the disparate communities as a whole and to involve a significant number of people in the Orthodox movement. Much attention is paid to the reaction of the Greek Catholic clergy and bishops to the question of an exit of the congregation from the denomination. The author emphasizes that individual priests opposed the movement for the sake of their own interests, involving the police and resorting to violence against the peasants. On the basis of the studied sources it has been found out that the Greek Catholic clergy groundlessly accused the Orthodox believers of political activity, thus trying to engage the state apparatus in suppressing the peasant movement. The article describes the legal prosecution and preparing a case against the Orthodox believers. There were identified those responsible for terror and their accomplices. The author traced the attempts to legally register Orthodox communities and showed the means used by the authorities to prevent the formation of parishes and the arrival of Orthodox priests. The position of periodicals on this issue has been analyzed; the subjectivity of individual editions has been indicated. The stress is put on a significant reaction to the prosecution of the Orthodox believers and the organization of judicial proceedings against them.
