We have measured the luminescence spectra of isolated uracil molecules in the wavelength range of 200–500 nm that were excited by slow electrons. Each spectrum contains more than 20 spectral bands and lines. We show that the luminescence spectrum of uracil is formed by processes of dissociative excitation of molecules, dissociative excitation with ionization, and excitation of electronic states of the initial molecule and molecular ion.uk
