"Текст Бекліна" в романі Е.М.Форстера "Подорож до Індії"

Abstract

Об’єктом дослідження обрано найбільш відомий роман Е.М. Форстера «Подорож до Індії». Увагу зосереджено на креативній рецепції прозаїком картини А. Бекліна «Пан, який лякає пастуха». Акцентовано спорідненість твор- чих методів письменника і художника. З’ясовано, що інтермедіальна кореляція оприявнюється у творі у формі опосередкованої екфрази. Розкрито специфіку функціонування міжвидового цитування у літературному тексті як художнього прийому, що продукує конкретний культурно-асоціативний підтекст і у такий спосіб сприяє створенню смислової багатоплановості твору.

The subject of the study is the most famous novel by E. M. Forster entitled “A Passage to India”. Attention is focused on a prose writer’s perception of A. Böcklin’s painting “Pan Frightening a Shepherd”. It is emphasized that creative methods of the writer and the artist are related. It was found out that the intermedial correlation appears in the form of indirect ekphrasis. There was revealed the peculiarity of the functioning of interspecific citation in the literary text as an artistic method, which produces a specific cultural-associative subtext and thus contributes to the creation of semantic multiplicity of the work.
