Abstract

The power of the Czech kingdom was growing in the epoch of the goverment of Pshemysl Otakar. Owing to the active foreign policy, dynastie combinations he expanded the territory of the Czech state to the Adriatic Sea. He also planned to conquer the Prussian and Lithuanian lands. Playing a derisive role at the imperial Seims at which Senators were elected he pretended himself to the imperial throne. But his state creation was far from being stable, because king himself was the only connecting tie at the Czech lands and Austria, Shtiria, Korinthia etc. In case the force and authority of the king failed the existense of his ephemeral state creation was under the threat.
