CHANGES TO THE CONSTITUTION OF UKRAINE – 2019: COMPARATIVE LEGAL ANALYSIS WITH THE CONSTITUTIONS OF THE EUROPEAN UNION COUNTRIES

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of changes in the Constitution of Ukraine in 2019. The comparison of the provisions of the Law of Ukraine of February 7, 2019, № 2680-VIII “On Amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine (Regarding the Strategic Course of the State for Acquiring Full-fledged Membership of Ukraine in the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization)” with the texts of the constitutions of the countries of the European Union is researched. The existence of similar provisions in the texts of the constitutions of the European Union countries is analyzed. Key words: changes to the constitution, the Constitution of Ukraine, European identity, constitutions of foreign countries, EU countries.

Стаття присвячена аналізу змін до Конституції України у 2019 році. Здійснене порівняння положень Закону України від 7 лютого 2019 року № 2680-VIII «Про вне- сення змін до Конституції України (щодо стратегічного курсу держави на набуття повноправного членства України в Європейському Союзі та в Організації Північно- атлантичного договору)» з текстами конституцій країн Європейського Союзу. Про- аналізовано наявність подібних положень у текстах конституцій країн Європейського Союзу. Ключові слова: зміни до конституції, Конституція України, європейська ідентичність, конституції зарубіжних країн, країни ЄС.
