Інститути захи сту прав людини в Україні: міжнародний аспект

Abstract

У статті розглянуто особливості міжнародного захисту прав людини, з’ясовано роль міжнародних інституцій у правозахисті. Наго- лошено, що права і свободи людини є позанаціональними й позатериторіальними. Будучи членом такої авторитетної і впливової між- народної правозахисної організації, як Рада Європи, Україна зобов’язана дотримуватися загальноприйнятих у цій сфері міжнародних стандартів, закріплених у міжнародних актах, зокрема й у Загальній декларації прав людини. Ключові слова: права людини, право на захист, Конвенція, пакт, декларація, Рада Європи, міжнародні стандарти.

The article deals with the peculiarities of international protection of human rights. The role of international institutions in the field of human rights protection is elucidated. It is emphasized that human rights and freedoms are extra-national and extra-territorial. As a member of such an authoritative and influential international human rights organization as the Council of Europe, Ukraine is obliged to adhere to international standards fixed in international instruments, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
