The presence of combined pathology is an aggravating factor for the course of COPD. The aim of the research: to assess the impact of GERD on the course of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. As a result of a retrospective study of 102 patients who were hospitalized for exacerbations of COPD, it was found that the presence of GERD is associated with more frequent exacerbations of the disease, severe bronchial obstruction, which in turn leads to an increase in hospitalizations in this category of patients.uk
