Ферментна активність грунтів за умов накопичення на їх поверхні побутового сміття

Abstract

During 2005-2006, in the framework of the Ukrainian–Hungarian Cooperation Program “Creation of environmental pollution monitoring system in the cross-border region of Bereg. Environmental pollution monitoring system”, we conducted complex research of the ecosystems of the disposal tips (landfills) located in border areas of the two countries. Waste products, as an ecological factor, have been ascertained to be causing substantial lowering in activity of the soil ferments – cellulases, phosphatases, and invertases. In our opinion, the level of that activity in the soils of different dumps depends upon the chemical composition of the waste products, total microbial value of soil aerobic chemoorganotrophic bacteria, contents of dissolved compounds of heavy metals and substances containing phosphor and nitrogen.
