dc.description.abstract | The effect of hydrostatic pressure on the optical absorption spectra of CdS1-xSex nanocrystals embedded in borosilicate glass matrix is studied. The energy gap pressure coefficients and compressibility values for CdS0.4Se0.6 (average size 2.76 nm) and CdS0.22Se0.78 (3.08 nm) samples are obtained. The effect of the glass matrix pressure upon the nanocrystals is discussed. | uk |
