dc.description.abstract	The lexics of folk medicine is an important as to its meaning and old as to its origin category of words within the limits of vocabulary stock of the Ukrainian language. The article highlights lexico-semantic and etymological analysis of some folk names of discases. The lexics under consideration represents more than 80 towns and villages. Many names have been fixed for the first time. It points to the scientific novelty of the investigation.	uk
