Abstract

The article deals with the main peculiarities of the Transcarpathian variant of Hungarian. From the 2nd half of the XX-th. century to denote the notion of national colloquial language in Hungarian linguistics the term “spoken language” is used. The present article the specific features of the Transcarpathian variant of Hungarian in the field of phonetics, morphology, lexics and syntax are described. One can come across certain dialects in the variant of Hungarian under study, which are characteristic of the Northern-Eastern regions, but on the level of lexics and syntax one can witness the traces of language interference.
