Трансформаційні перетворення та електоральні процеси: постановка проблеми та український вимір

Abstract

The article presents critical revisiting of current research in electoral processes in Ukraine, interprets the evident dominance of institutional problematic and gives author’s vision of methodological analysis of the abovementioned phenomenon. Drawing on the basic parameters of political, economic and social transformations, the author analyzes the power of political parties in Ukraine, correlates the electoral processes’ essence with transformational agenda implemented by the dominant elites. The article also provides general characteristics of the gap between structural transformations in Ukrainian society and their electoral representation. The author actualizes macrosocial context of electoral processes and outlines the basic interconnections between transformational and electoral problematic. The proposed vision of research methodology in application to electoral processes under transformational conditions will foster resolving separate research contradictions.
