| Abstract: | The article deals with the influence of European integration process on the Slovak official policy towards Roma ethnic minority. The author makes the conclusion that only under the pressure and thanks the resources provided by the governing institutions of European Union and, especially, Council of Europe, the parliament and the government of Slovak republic introduced the policy of the positive discrimination towards Roma’s population and, thus, enhanced the start of the Roma’s social integration. |
