dc.description.abstract46 patients with atherosclerosis were examined and 30 persons of control group. There were 29 males and 17 females among patients with atherosclerosis aged 35-85. Angina pectoris has been diagnosted in 14 patients, 3 patients had а diagnosis of myocardial infarct, and 29 patients were diagnosted with cardiosclerosis. The research proved that selenium level and level of vitamin Е depends on manifestation of atherosclerosis of examined patients. Тhе highest level of selenium and vitamin Е was found in cardiosclerosis patients, the lowest one - in myocardial infarct patients. Тhe level of selenium and vitamin Е also depends оn the period of myocardial infarct. Тhe lowest level of investigated indexes was found in acute period of myocardial infarct.uk
