Розвиток української лексикографії в 60-х роках ХХ століття

Abstract

У статті висвітлено закономірності становлення й розвитку української лексикографії 60-х років ХХ ст. у контексті розвитку сучасної української літературної мови. Відображення лексичного складу літературної мови на певному етапі її історичного розвитку є одним із найвідповідальніших завдань словника будь-якої мови. Час «хрущовської відлиги» став другим періодом піднесення української лексикографії, який можна чітко корелювати з історичним періодом зростання національної свідомості й активності українців. Якщо за період 40–50-х років ХХ ст. середньорічний випуск українських словників становив 5 назв, то в 60-х роках він сягнув у середньому 20 назв за рік. Крім того, цінні словникові напрацювання публікувала й українська діаспора Канади, США, Франції. Надзвичайно цінним енциклопедичним довідником стала «Енциклопедія українознавства», яку видавало Наукове товариство імені Тараса Шевченка за кордоном. Саме ця праця стимулювала до появи в 60-х роках на території радянської України цілої низки україномовних енциклопедичних видань. Також у 60-х роках відбувалася підготовка до видання багатотомного «Словника української мови» – цінного лексикографічного набутку української лексикографії ХХ ст. У дослідженні здійснено опис і науковий аналіз основних українських перекладних словників 60-х років ХХ ст., показано значення лексикографічної роботи другої половини ХХ ст. в історії української літературної мови, зокрема в історії її лексикографії. Описано мегаструктуру та мікроструктуру двомовних словників досліджуваного періоду, розглянуто основні набутки й недоліки «Російсько-українського словника» 1969 року. Зазначимо, що, незважаючи на русифікаторські тенденції, українська лексикографія 60-х років ХХ ст. заклала міцний фундамент для всебічного розвитку цього складника мовознавства періоду незалежної України, продемонструвала тяглість національних традицій у словникарстві.

The article highlights the patterns of formation and development of Ukrainian lexicography of the 60s of the twentieth century in the context of the modern Ukrainian literary language development. Reflection of the lexical structure of literary language at a certain stage of its historical development is one of the most important tasks of the dictionary of any language. The time of the “Khrushchev thaw” was the second stage of the rise of Ukrainian lexicography, which can be correlated with the historical period of growth of national consciousness and activity of Ukrainians. If in the 40–50s of the twentieth century. the average annual issue of Ukrainian dictionaries was 5 titles, in the 60s it reached nearly 20 titles per year. In addition, valuable dictionaries were published by the Ukrainian diaspora in Canada, the United States, and France. “The Encyclopedia of Ukrainian Studies”, published by the Taras Shevchenko Scientific Society Abroad, became an extremely valuable encyclopedic reference book. It was this work that stimulated the appearance of a number of Ukrainian- language encyclopedic publications on the territory of Soviet Ukraine in the 1960s. Also in the 60s the preparation for the publication of a multi-volume “Dictionary of the Ukrainian language” took place. It was a valuable lexicographic achievement of Ukrainian lexicography of the twentieth century. In our study, a description and scientific analysis of the main Ukrainian translation dictionaries of the 60s of the twentieth century has been provided. The importance of lexicographic work of the second half of the twentieth century in the history of the Ukrainian literary language, in particular, in the history of its lexicography has been shown. The mega- and microstructures of bilingual dictionaries of the studied period have been described. The main achievements and shortcomings of the “Russian-Ukrainian Dictionary” (1969) have been considered. It should be noted, that despite the Russification tendencies, the Ukrainian lexicography of the 60s of the twentieth century laid a solid foundation for the comprehensive development of this component of linguistics of the period of independent Ukraine. It demonstrated the longevity of national traditions in lexicography.
