«Концепція зіткнення цивілізацій» Самюеля Хантінгтона

Abstract

У статті розглядається гіпотеза Самюеля Хантінгтона, яка отримала назву «Зіткнення цивілізацій». У ній подається глобальна політика після «холодної війни». Хантінгтон вважав, що основним першоджерелом конфліктів у світі після «холодної війни» не будуть ідеологічні, політичні чи економічні причини. Великі розбіжності серед людства і домінуючим джерелом конфліктів стане культура. У глобальній політиці домінуватимуть цивілізації, а лінії розлому між ними стануть фронтом у майбутньому. Метою статті є розглянути основні ідеї цієї концепції.

The article deals hypothesis of Samuel P. Huntington that called «The Clash of Civilizations». It tells us about the global politics after the «cold war». Huntington believed that the fundamental source of conflict in the world after «cold war» will not be primarily ideological, political or economic. The great divisions among humankind and the dominating source of conflict will be cultural. The civilizations will dominate global politics and the fault lines between civilizations will be the battle lines of the future. The purpose of the article is to review the basic ideas of thіs hypothesis.
