Номінативне поле концепту SPEECH як складової наукової картини світу

Abstract

Стаття присвячена вивченню англомовного комплексного концепту WORD / LANGUAGE / SPEECH та його номінативного поля у науковій картині світу в межах нового наукового напряму – дуальне мовознавство: наукове і наївне трактування мови в англійській лексикографії. Вивчення вербалізованого концепту передбачає перш за все укладання його номінативного поля, тобто зібрання і структурування в єдине ціле всіх номінативних одиниць, що позначають ядрові концепти, разом із їхніми словниковими дефініціями. Отриманий таким чином фактографічний матеріал дає можливість ретельного аналізу етимології та семантики всіх зібраних лексичних одиниць. Мета статті полягає у дослідженні номінативного поля англомовного концепту SPEECH у науковій картині світу, зокрема, його ядерної зони. Зазначене номінативне поле входить як окремий сегмент у цілісне номінативне поле комплексного концепту WORD/LANGUAGE/SPEECH і виявляється найменшим серед всіх трьох конституєнтів, налічуючи 65 лексичних одиниць разом зі словниковими дефініціями, вилученими із чотирьох спеціалізованих словників. Кількість посилочних статей, до яких скеровують ядерні статті speech, загалом відносно невелика у порівнянні з двома іншими конституєнтами номінативного поля (word і language). Ядро номінативного поля нуклеарного концепту SPEECH містить 3 лексичні одиниці speech, які від самого початку демонструють розбіжності в інтерпретації фактичного матеріалу в різних наукових джерелах. Так, наприклад, деякі словники вважають іменник speech моносемантом, натомість словник Routledge дефінує не одну, а три семеми цього слова. Згідно з отриманими даними, моносемантичний термін speech стосується тільки усного мовлення, його семний склад є таким: сема (1) продукування, сема (2) усне мовлення, сема (3) передача інформації. Словник Routledge до цього набору додає сему (4) письмове мовлення.

The article is dedicated to the study of the English complex concept WORD / LANGUAGE / SPEECH and its nominative field in the scientific world view within a framework of a new scientific direction – dual linguistics: scientific and naive interpretation of language in the English lexicography. The study of the verbalized concept involves, first of all, the formation of its nominative field, i.e. the collection and structuring into a single whole of all nominative units that denote core concepts, together with their vocabulary definitions. The factual material obtained in this way allows a careful analysis of the etymology and semantics of all collected lexical items. The aim of the article is to study the nominative field of the English concept SPEECH in the scientific world view, in particular, its nuclear zone. The specified nominative field is included as a separate segment in the integral nominative field of the complex concept WORD/LANGUAGE/ SPEECH and is the smallest among all three constituents, having 65 lexical units together with dictionary definitions extracted from four specialized dictionaries. The number of reference articles to which the core articles of speech refer is generally relatively small compared to the other two constituents of the nominative field (word and language). The core of the nominative field of the nuclear concept SPEECH contains 3 lexical units, which from the very beginning demonstrate differences in the interpretation of the actual material in various scientific sources. So, for example, some dictionaries consider the noun speech to be monosemantic, but the Routledge dictionary defines not one, but three semes of this word. According to the obtained data, the monosemantic term speech refers only to oral speech, its semantic composition is as follows: seme (1) production, seme (2) oral speech, seme (3) information transfer. The Routledge Dictionary adds (4) written speech to this set.
