Лексичні засоби художнього увиразнення мови роману «Варфоломієва ніч» Марини Гримич

Abstract

Статтю присвячено лінгвостилістичному аналізу лексичних засобів увиразнення художньої мови роману «Варфоломієва ніч» М. Гримич – яскравої представниці сучасного українського постмодерного дискурсу. Доведено, що в аналізованому творі діють дві полярні тенденції слововжитку: з одного боку, свобода й розкутість вислову, з іншого – інтелектуалізація мови, що об’єднує інтертекстуальність, узуальну й контекстуальну синонімію, метафоризацію тощо. Основними засобами художнього увиразнення мови роману «Варфоломієва ніч» М. Гримич виступають метафори, метонімії, оказіоналізми, варваризми, перифрази, розмовна й жаргонна лексика. Мовні одиниці зумовлені як інтра-, так і екстралінгвальними чинниками, зокрема ідейно-тематичним змістом твору, віковим чи соціальним характером персонажів, роллю самої авторки та її впливом на свідомість читача. Для реалізації творчого задуму письменниця прагне досягти максимальної точності у вербалізації своїх ідей, думок, емоцій, переживань. Емоційно-експресивний потенціал лексичних засобів посилюють особливі синтаксичні конструкції (порівняння, невласне пряма мова, риторичні питання, атіологія тощо). Мова роману М. Гримич «Варфоломієва ніч» відображає вплив філософії та світоглядно-естетичних чинників постмодернізму як культурної епохи. Стиль роману – це система взаємопов’язаних мовностилістичних одиниць, закономірностей мовного вибору й текстотворення, зумовлених екстралінгвальними параметрами та стильовими домінантами – карнавальністю, експресивністю, інтертекстуальністю. Основними принципами організації лексико-стилістичної системи роману є cтрокатість і вільний вибір мовних засобів, яскрава мовна гра, наскрізна іронічність, асоціативність, метафоричність та експресивність мовотворення. Семантичною рисою мови твору є емоційні конотації, експресивне забарвлення.

The article is devoted to the linguistic and stylistic analysis of lexical means of expressing the artistic language in the novel “Bartholomew’s Night” written by M. Hrymych, a prominent representative of the contemporary Ukrainian postmodern discourse. It has been proven that there are two polar tendencies of word use in the analyzed work: on the one hand, freedom and ease of expression, on the other hand, intellectualization of language, which combines intertextuality, usual and contextual synonymy, metaphorization, etc. The main means of artistic expression in the language of M. Hrymych’s novel “Bartholomew’s Night” are metaphors, metonymies, occasionalisms, barbarisms, periphrases, colloquial and slang vocabulary. Language units are determined by both intra- and extra-linguistic factors, including the ideological and thematic content of the work, the characters’ age or social status, the role of the author herself and her influence on the reader's consciousness. In order to realize her creative intent, the writer strives to achieve maximum accuracy when verbalizing her ideas, thoughts, emotions, and feelings. The emotional and expressive potential of lexical means is enhanced by special syntactic constructions (similes, free indirect speech, rhetorical questions, aitiologia, etc.). The language of M. Hrymych’s novel “Bartholomew’s Night” reflects the influence of philosophy and the worldview and aesthetic factors of postmodernism as a cultural epoch. The style of a novel is a system of interconnected linguistic and stylistic units, patterns of language choice and text creation, determined by extralinguistic parameters and stylistic dominants such as carnivalization, expressiveness, and intertextuality. The main principles of organizing the lexical and stylistic system of the novel are the diversity and free choice of language, vivid language play, pervasive irony, associativity, figurativeness, and expressiveness of language. The semantic feature of the novel’s language is emotional connotations and expressive coloring.
