Методологічний інструментарій сучасних термінологічних досліджень

Abstract

У статті проаналізовані сучасні методи дослідження термінології. Автори підкреслюють, що сучасні наукові засади дослідження української термінології різних галузей наукового пізнання стають запорукою фундаментального аналізу сучасної української термінологічної системи. Це вимагає розроблення методології дослідження, що сприятиме подальшому осмисленню правил, закономірностей утворення, розвитку та функціонування термінів у певній галузі людської діяльності. Зважаючи на погляди вітчизняних науковців, які розглядають методологію як учення про наукові методи пізнання і як систему наукових принципів, на основі яких базується дослідження та проводиться вибір його пізнавальних засобів, методів і прийомів, автори вказують, що вибір методології дослідження значною мірою залежить від парадигми, яка є домінуючою на сучасному етапі розвитку науки. Ураховуючи, що термінологія є частиною мовної системи загалом і водночас має свої особливості, що дозволяють виокремити цю систему, виділені такі методи дослідження в галузі термінології: описовий метод, описово-аналітичний метод, історичний метод, порівняльно-історичний метод, зіставний метод, метод компонентного, системного, контекстуального, кількісного, морфемного та словотвірного аналізу, логіко-поняттєвого аналізу словникових дефініцій, метод внутрішньої інтроспекції, метод лінгвістичного спостереження, метод синхронних зрізів, таксономічний метод, контекстний метод, лексикографічний метод, логіко-семантичний метод та інші. Кожен із цих методів має свою специфіку та завдання, що забезпечує можливість отримати максимально збалансоване й узагальнене наукове розуміння характеристик мовного явища. На матеріалі дисертаційних праць вітчизняних мовознавців-термінологів автори прослідкували застосування кожного з методів. Проведений авторами аналіз методологічного інструментарію сучасних досліджень термінологій дозволяє визначити його як надзвичайно потужний. Активне ж студіювання методологічних термінологічних проблем дозволяє зробити висновок про досить плідне «сполучення» методології точних і гуманітарних наук, що сприяє більш глибокому та об’єктивному вивченню мовного матеріалу й розширює горизонти для подальших наукових пошуків.

The article analyses the newest methods of terminological studies. The authors emphasize that the modern scientific foundations of the study of Ukrainian terminology in various branches of scientific knowledge enable a fundamental analysis of the modern Ukrainian terminological system. This requires the development of a research methodology that could contribute to the further understanding of the rules and regularities of the creation, development and functioning of terms in a certain field of human activity. Taking into account the views of Ukrainian scientists who consider methodology as a study of scientific methods of cognition and as a system of scientific principles on the basis of which researches are based and the choice of its cognitive means, methods and techniques is made, the authors point out that the choice of research methodology largely depends on the paradigm, which is dominant at the current stage of the development of science. In view of the fact that terminology is not only part of the language system, but also has its own characteristics that make it possible to single out this system, such research methods in the field of terminology are distinguished as the descriptive method, the descriptive-analytical method, the historical method, the comparative-historical method, the comparative method, methods of component, system, contextual, quantitative, morpheme and word formation analysis, logical-conceptual analysis of dictionary definitions, method of internal introspection, method of linguistic observation, method of synchronous sections, taxonomic method, contextual method, lexicographic method, logical-semantic method and many others. Each of these methods has its own specificity and task, which provides an opportunity to obtain the most balanced and generalized scientific understanding of the characteristics of the linguistic phenomenon. Based on the material of the dissertations of Ukrainian linguists and terminologists, the authors have studied the application of each of the methods. The analysis of the methodological means for modern terminological studies allows us to consider it to be extremely powerful. An intensive study of methodological and terminological problems makes it possible to draw a conclusion about the close relationship between the methodology of exact and humanitarian sciences, which contributes to more objective study of language material and further scientific research.
