Ідентичність персонажів крізь мовленнєву характеристику (на матеріалі роману Нади Ґашич «Дев’ять життів пані Адели»)

Abstract

У статті проаналізовано особливості особистісної ідентичності головної героїні роману сучасної хорватської письменниці Нади Ґашич «Дев’ять життів пані Адели». Мовленнєвий портрет є складовою частиною образу персонажа у цілому, його психологічного профілю, важливим засобом поетики характеротворення. Отож, одним із провідних елементів, які використовуються під час побудови мовленнєвого портрета, є взаємозв’язок мови героя та його характеру. Така характеристика чи не найскладнішим і найважливішим прийомом розкриття образу. Загальна манера розмовляти, вживання в мовленні сталих висловів, жаргонізмів, вкраплень іншомовних слів тощо часто можуть більше розповісти про героя твору, ніж безпосередній опис, який подав автор. Мовлення героїні роману Нади Ґашич «Дев’ять життів пані Адели» є її своєрідною характеристикою й водночас розкриває інтенції авторки. У результаті дослідження було встановлено, що мовленнєвий портрет пані Адели із роману Нади Ґашич «Дев’ять життів пані Адели» є дуже промовистим і дає можливість сформувати уявлення про неї як персонажа, а відтак є важливою композиційною частиною усього тексту. Наді Ґашич вдалося створити дуже непростий та суперечливий образ. Мова, якою розмовляє пані Адела, є її диференційною рисою. Вона здебільшого послуговується загребською (пургерською) говіркою кайкавського діалекту (вдаючись часом до вживання просторіччя та фразеологізмів), характерною для певного кола загребців, тож вона певним чином визначає Аделу класово (як старосвітську корінну мешканку столичного міста, яка любить елегантно вдягатися і гарно виглядати). Мовленнєвий аналіз також дозволив охарактеризувати героїню особистісно (як зверхню, примхливу маніпуляторку) та соціально (попри нестерпний характер, пані Адела є вразливою, самотньою старенькою, яка прагне любові). Загалом, мова пані Адели як стилістично маркований засіб вербального вираження думок, почуттів тощо є компонентою персонажа роману Нади Ґашич.

The peculiarities of the personal identity of the main character in a novel titled «The Nine Lives of Mrs. Adele» by the Croatian writer Nada Gašić are analyzed in the article. Speech representation is an integral part of the image of the personage as a whole, a component of his psychological profile, an important means of the poetics for character creation. So, one of the leading elements used in speech representation is the interrelation between the hero’s language and his personality. Such characteristics are perhaps the most difficult and most important means of revealing the character’s personality. The general manner of speaking, using fixed expressions, jargon, interspersed foreign words, etc. can often tell more about the hero of the work than the direct description provided by the author. The speech of the heroine of Nada Gašić’s novel titled «The Nine Lives of Mrs. Adele» is her unique feature and at the same time reveals the author’s intentions. As a result of the research, it was established that the speech representation of Mrs. Adele in a novel titled «The Nine Lives of Mrs. Adele» by Nada Gašić’s is very eloquent and gives an opportunity to perceive her as a character, and therefore is an important part of the entire composition. Nada Gašić managed to create a very difficult and controversial character. The language Mrs. Adele speaks is her distinguishing feature. She mostly uses the Zagreb (Purger) dialect of the Kajkavian one (sometimes resorting to the use of colloquialisms and idioms), which is characteristic for a certain circle of Zagreb residents, so she in a certain way defines Adele in terms of class (as an old-world native inhabitant of the capital city who likes to dress elegantly and look good). Speech analysis also made it possible to characterize the heroine from individual (as a superior, capricious manipulator) and from social point of view (despite her unbearable character, Mrs. Adele is a vulnerable, lonely old woman who longs for love). In general, Ms. Adele’s language as a stylistically marked means of verbal expression of thoughts, feelings, etc. is a component of the main character in a novel by Nada Gašić.
