Abstract

Оn the grounds of historic dictionaries of Slavonic languages analysis the author proves that their register is not full. The majority of register entries and the time of their oldest fixation become 100, 200 and more years younger, that misinterprets the real state of the language development. The major part of lexemes happened to join the written relics first as proper names (nicknames, oikonyms, ets.), then as common nous. That's why the author motivates and persits in the opinion according to which a written fixation of a lexeme in all its functions should be taken account of in a valuable historic dictionary of a common type.
