Abstract: Aim: To study the level of accessibility of rehabilitation services for the population of the mountainous geographical zone of residence in Transcarpathian region. Materials and Methods: results of a sociological survey among 136 people with special needs (disabled) and 268 people with chronic diseases living in the mountainous geographical zone of Transcarpathian region. Methods: bibliosemantic,medico-statistical, of systemic approach and of structural-and-logical analysis. Results: The level of permanent territorial accessibility of rehabilitation services was 7.8% for rural residents with special needs, and 69.0% for urban residents. For this category of the population, the level of economic accessibility of these services was 16.9% and 26.8%. The level of permanent territorial accessibility of rehabilitation services was 13.4% for rural residents with chronic diseases, and 24.6% for urban residents. For this category of the population, the economic accessibility of these services was 27.5% and 45.2%. Conclusions: A low level of territorial and economic accessibility of rehabilitation services for the population of the mountainous geographical zone of residence with a lower level of accessibility for the population of rural areas than the population of cities has been established. The results of the study should be taken into account when reforming the health care system of the region.
