Біблійні образи і мотиви у творчості Ніни Бічуї: трансформація сакрального тексту в сучасній українській літературі

Abstract

У статті аналізується роль Святого Письма та інтерпретація біблійних образів у творчості Ніни Бічуї на прикладі творів «Дрогобицький звіздар», «Буєсть Митусина», «Мед мудрості нашої», «Сотворіння тайни», «Зачин до оповідання про Донелайтіса», «Показія, або Те, що не цілком потрапило до оповідань» та «Камінний господар». Авторка звертається до біблійних текстів, щоб розкрити філософські, етичні та духовні проблеми сучасності. Біблійні образи та мотиви стають засобом для дослідження тем віри, сумнівів, гріха, покаяння та істини. У творі «Дрогобицький звіздар» через образи зірок і світла досліджується тема пошуку Бога і сенсу життя, які порівнюються з біблійними символами світла та провидіння. У новелі «Буєсть Митусина» розглядається тема творчості як божественного дару, де слово набуває священного значення, а головний герой нагадує біблійних пророків. У новелі «Мед мудрості нашої» Н. Бічуя звертається до біблійного образу мудрості з Книги Приповістей, переосмислюючи його через моральний вибір сучасної людини. У «Сотворінні тайни» досліджується взаємодія матеріального і духовного через біблійні мотиви творіння і спасіння. «Зачин до оповідання про Донелайтіса» та «Показія, або Те, що не цілком потрапило до оповідань» також містять біблійні посилання, що підкреслюють зв’язок між минулим і сучасністю. Біблійні образи тут служать засобом для розуміння духовних викликів, з якими зіштовхується сучасна людина. У новелі «Камінний господар» біблійні мотиви використовуються для розкриття теми гріха, спокути та внутрішньої боротьби персонажів. Таким чином, стаття акцентує увагу на взаємодії Н. Бічуї з біблійною традицією. Це дозволяє краще зрозуміти філософську та духовну глибину її творів, для яких Святе Письмо служить джерелом натхнення та допомагає висвітлити моральні пошуки персонажів.

The article analyzes the role of the Holy Scripture and the interpretation of biblical images in the works of Nina Bichuya, using the examples of “The Drohobych Astrologer”, “Mitusina's Story”, “The Honey of Our Wisdom”, “The Creation of the Mystery”, “The Introduction to the Story of Donelaitis”, “Pocasia” and “The Stone Host”. The author draws on biblical texts to explore philosophical, ethical, and spiritual issues relevant to modern times. Biblical images and motifs serve as a tool for examining themes of faith, doubt, sin, repentance, and truth. In the work “The Drohobych Astrologer”, the theme of searching for God and the meaning of life is explored through the imagery of stars and light, which are compared to biblical symbols of light and divine providence. In “Mitusina's Story”, the focus is on creativity as a divine gift, where the word takes on sacred meaning, and the protagonist resembles biblical prophets. In “The Honey of Our Wisdom”, Bichuya refers to the biblical image of wisdom from the Book of Proverbs, reinterpreting it through the moral choices of modern individuals. In “The Creation of the Mystery”, the interaction between the material and spiritual is explored through biblical themes of creation and salvation. “The Introduction to the Story of Donelaitis” and “Pocasia, or That Which Did Not Fully Enter the Stories” also contain biblical references, highlighting the connection between the past and the present. Here, biblical images are used to understand the spiritual challenges faced by contemporary individuals. In the novella “The Stone Host”, biblical motifs are employed to reveal themes of sin, redemption, and the inner struggles of the characters. Thus, the article emphasizes N. Bichuya's engagement with the biblical tradition. This approach provides a deeper understanding of the philosophical and spiritual depth of her works, where the Holy Scripture serves as a source of inspiration and sheds light on the moral quests of her characters.
