Глобальні тренди світової економіки: вплив на українські інтереси

Abstract

У статті досліджуються трансформації, що охопили світову економічну систему загалом та економіки ключових стратегічних країн-партнерів України. Розглянуто глобальні економічні тренди у контексті національних інтересів України. Обґрунтовано потенційний вплив пандемії COVID-19 на світову торгівлю та динаміку української зовнішньої торгівлі у трьох вимірах: загальна економічна активність, ціни та попит на основні експортні позиції. З використанням методу сценаріїв зроблено припущення щодо подальшого розвитку торговельно-економічних відносин України з ЄС, США та Китаєм.

The transformations spreading through the world economic system in general and economies of key strategic partner states of Ukraine are considered in the article. The methodology of the study is based on a combination of theoretical and empirical, quantitative and qualitative methods. In order to identify the dynamics of world economic indicators, time series analysis is performed. The political dimension of the economic relations of Ukraine with key partner countries is studied using the elements of trend impact analysis and cross-impact analysis. The purpose of the article is to determine the impact of global trends of the world economy in general and key strategic partner countries of Ukraine (the European Union, the United States of America, and China) on its national interests. It is discovered that in the short and medium terms international economic relations will be under the strong infl uence of such tracks: government regulation of economy; a loosening of monetary policy and insolvency crisis developing; rising inequalities between groups of countries and within the states; supply chain shocks and deglobalization. The comprehensive infl uence of pandemics COVID-19 on the national economies worldwide is justifi ed and Ukraine’s trade dynamics within three dimensions (global economic activity, prices for major commodity groups, and demand for them) is justifi ed. Considering their current dynamics, Ukrainian exports are expected to grow, primarily due to the sales of agrarian trade to the Chinese market. Given the signifi cant internal problems in the European Union, negative changes in bilateral trade and investment indicators are expected. The positions of Ukrainian foreign economic activity entities will be infl uenced by international rivalry within the triangle “the USA – China – the EU”. The specifi cs of the processes developing in the economies of Ukraine’s strategic trade partners require a revision of the principles of national foreign economic policy, namely within the relevant provisions of the new Export Strategy.
