Художня рецепція війни в романі Гаськи Шиян «За спиною»

Abstract

У статті порушено проблему художньої рецепції війни в романі Гаськи Шиян «За спиною», який став лауреатом літературної премії Європейського Союзу (2019), переможцем книжкового рейтингу «ЛітАкцент року – 2019» у номінації «Проза», книжкової премії «Еспресо. Вибір читачів 2019», однією з кращих книг 2019 року за версією ВВС. Доведено, що ця рецепція змодельована крізь призму суб’єктивованого погляду жінки. Дослідження з’ясовує стратегії переживання війни, специфіку Я-мовлення та презентує воєнні жіночі типажі, виявляє впливи російсько-української війни на світоглядні позиції головної героїні роману «За спиною» та шляхи їх прожиття. У роботі констатовано, що в романі подана не мілітарна стратегія війни, а її суб’єктивована візія, яка виявляється через зображення стану суспільства під час війни, самосприйняття головної героїні, споглядання інших жінок та «приміряння» їх ролей чи життєвих доль на себе, спілкування та стосунки з оточуючими. Огляд рецензій засвідчує неоднозначне сприйняття роману критиками (характеристика головної героїні як зверхньої, істеричної, егоїстичної жінки, «нетрадиційної», цинічної «ватниці», екзальтованої пані, лібералки, яка прагне бути непричетною до воєнних подій), яке зумовлене руйнуванням канонічного образу жінки-берегині в умовах війни. Доведено, що роман «За спиною» осмислює душевний стан жінки у війні через потік мовлення Я-персонажа. У статті прослідковано, як через Я-мовлення виражаються травми головної героїні, які порушують проблеми голодного дитинства 90-х рр.; несприйняття та боязні війни, майбутнього материнства; самотності, причин конс’юмеризму та страху смерті. Також у роботі виявлені та проаналізовані причини свідомісного уникання головною героїнею будь-яких мілітарних тем, які ототожнюються зі смертю; причини депресивного розладу, пов’язаного з кризовим станом свідомості через несприйняття соціумом ставлення героїні до подій війни; характер стосунків із чоловіком-військовим та причини маскулінізації жінки під час війни.

The article touches upon the problem of artistic reception of war in the novel «Behind the Back» by Haska Shyian, which won the European Union Prize for Literature (2019), book rating winner «LitAccent – 2019» in the prose nomination, book award «Espresso. Readers' Choice 2019», and one of the best books of 2019 according to the BBC. It is shown that this reception is modelled through the prism of a woman's subjective view. The study reveals the strategies of experiencing war, the specifics of self-speaking and presents military female types, identifies the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war on the worldview of the main character of the novel «Behind the Back» and the ways of living. The paper states that the novel presents not a military strategy of war, but its subjective vision, which is manifested through the depiction of the state of society during the war, the main character’s self-perception, the contemplation of other women and the «trying on» of their roles or life destinies, communication and relationships with others. The analysis of the reviews shows the controversial perception of the novel by critics (description of the protagonist as an arrogant, hysterical, selfish woman, «non-traditional», cynical «vatnytsia», an exalted lady, a liberal who wants to be uninvolved in military events), which is due to the destruction of the canonical image of a woman-keeper in the conditions of war. It is proved that the novel «Behind the Back» reflects the state of mind of a woman in war through the speech flow of the I-character. The article traces how the main character’s traumas are expressed through I-speaking, which raise the problems of the hungry childhood of the 1990s; non-perception and fear of war, future motherhood; loneliness, the causes of consumerism and fear of death. The work also identifies and analyses the reasons for the protagonist’s conscious avoidance of any military topics that are identified with death; the causes of depressive disorder associated with a crisis state of consciousness due to society's rejection of the protagonist's attitude to the events of the war; the character of the relationship with her military husband and the reasons for the masculinisation of women during the war.
