Спомини Андрія Чайковського «Чорні рядки» в контексті морфонології

Abstract

У статті йдеться про відомого письменника й громадського діяча Східної Галичини Андрія Чайковського та про його мемуари «Чорні рядки», у яких описані події з часу змагань галицьких українців в 1918–1919 рр. за волю й власну державу. Письменник був безпосередньо долучений до них у статусі повітового комісара прифронтового міста Самбір, а тому добре знав усі перипетії їх перебігу, як і проблеми, з ними пов’язані. Проте зазначеним цінність аналізованих спогадів не вичерпується. Адже вони – важлива пам’ятка історії західноукраїнського варіанта літературної мови 20–30-х рр. ХХ ст., свідоцтво її доволі високого рівня розвитку та стильової виробленості. Увагу зосереджено не на мові твору загалом, а лиш на похідних одиницях його лексикону, які досліджено в контексті морфонології. Відповідно й визначено мету розвідки: встановити морфонологічні особливості вжитих у тексті спогадів А. Чайковського словотвірних форм; з’ясувати їхню відповідність / невідповідність морфонологічним нормам сучасної української літературної мови; окреслити закономірності, яким вони підпорядковані. Поставлена мета вимагала розв’язання таких завдань: 1) відшукати в тексті спогадів А. Чайковського похідні слова, компоненти словотвірної структури яких марковані морфонологічними перетвореннями; 2) встановити характер цих перетворень; 3) з’ясувати, дії яких морфонологічних правил і закономірностей вони підпорядковані та в який спосіб ці правила й закономірності корелюють з нині чинними. Використані у ході дослідження загальнонаукові методи аналізу, синтезу, узагальнення, класифікації та прийоми й процедури описового й структурного методів допомогли успішно реалізувати визначені завдання. У висновках зазначено, що словник містить похідні одиниці, марковані усіма властивими українській мові морфонологічними перетвореннями – чергуваннями приголосних і голосних фонем, альтернацією наголосу, нарощенням морфем та їх усіченням і що ці перетворення підпорядковані правилам й закономірностям, які збігаються з нині чинними, тоді як виявлені відмінності спричинені здебільшого стилістичними характеристиками слів-мотиваторів.

The article deals with Andriy Chaikovsky, a well-known writer and public figure of Eastern Galicia, and his memoirs “Black Lines,” which describe events from the time of Galician Ukrainians in 1918–1919 for freedom and their own state. The writer was directly attached to them in the status of county commissioner of the frontline city of Sambir, and therefore he was well aware of all the vicissitudes of their course, as well as the problems associated with it. However, the value of the analyzed memories is not limited to the above. After all, they are an important monument in the history of the Western Ukrainian version of the literary language of the 1920s and 1930s. 20th century, evidence of its rather high level of development and stylistic production. Attention is not focused on the language of the work in general, but only on the derived units of its lexicon, which are studied in the context of morphonology. Accordingly, the purpose of the exploration was determined: to establish the morphonological features of the memories used in the text of A. Chaikovsky’s word-forming forms; find out their correspondence / inconsistency with the morphonological norms of the modern Ukrainian literary language; outline the regularities to which they are subordinated. The set goal required the solution of the following tasks: 1) to find in the text of memories A. Chaikovsky’s derivative words, the components of the word-forming structure of which are marked by morphonological transformations; 2) to establish the nature of these transformations; 3) to find out the actions of which morphonological rules and patterns they are subordinated to and how these rules and patterns correlate with the current ones. The general scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization, classification and techniques and procedures of descriptive and structural methods used in the course of the study helped to successfully implement the defined tasks. The conclusions state that the dictionary contains derivative units marked with all morphonological transformations inherent in the Ukrainian language – alternation of consonants and vowel phonemes, alternation of stress, morpheme build-up and their truncation, and that these transformations are subject to rules and patterns that coincide with the currently valid ones, and the differences found are caused mainly by the stylistic characteristics of motivating words.
