| dc.description | The literature data concerning formation of the compound Tl3SbSe5 on the quasibinary section Tl2Se – Sb2Se3 was searched. Materials from this cross section have improved thermoelectric properties. Therefore, planed to investigate TlSb3Se5 as analog of already existing TlSb3S5. It was established that its formation is controversial according to literature information. There was conducted the number of experiments in order to confirm the existence of this compound. The temperature of melting and the temperature of peritectic decomposition were fixed by using DTA analysis of series of alloys on the section TlSbSe2 – Sb2Se3. It was revealed that TlSb3Se5 melts incongruently. On the basis of X-ray analysis TlSb3Se5 compound has its own set of reflexes which serves as proof of identity. The results allow us to learn balance in quasiternary system SnSe2–TlSbSe2–Sb2Se3 with higher accuracy and with greater probability to predict the crystal structure and thermoelectric properties of compounds in this system. | uk |
