Вплив макроекономічних факторів на флуктуацію економічних процесів в Україні

Abstract

Метою роботи є визначення типів макроекономічних факторів, які викликають коливання економічного циклу України. Для вирішення цього питання застосовано теорію реальних ділових циклів (RBC). Із урахуванням п'яти макроекономічних показників економічного розвитку України, упродовж 13 років створено збалансовану таблицю даних багатовимірного тимчасового ряду. З трьох основних компонентів ВВП: трендового, сезонно-го і циклічного, за допомоги фільтру Ходрика–Прескотта відокремлено циклічний компонент, який показує відхилення реального обсягу виробництва від лінії тренду. Визначено, які змінні сприяють зростанню, які спри-яють рецесійному характеру та ті, які мають сильнішу кореляцію на реальний ВВП. The article analyzes the macroeconomic factors that cause fluctuations in the economic cycle in Ukraine. According to the classical definition of the GDP under the expenditures approach all components have posi-tive influence on the final product and include the sum of gross private consumption expenditures, gross pri-vate investment, government spending and net exports. Nevertheless, the question arises: which factors that affect the business cycles lead to GDP growth, and which of them lead to recession? To address this issue, we have applied the theory of the real business cycles (RBC). The basic formula of GDP does not have direct components that determine the impact of innovative technologies, and according to the RBC theory the ma-jor factor of economic growth is increase in capital investments in research and development as well as in human capital. To analyze the impact of innovative technologies the indirect measure which reflects in-vestment into research and development has been in-troduced into the formula for determining the rate of GDP. Taking into account five macroeconomic indicators of economic development of Ukraine the table of mul-tivariate time-series data has been elaborated within thirteen years. The cyclical component which shows deviation of real output from trends lines was separated for further analysis from the three major components of the GDP – trend, seasonal and cyclical components– with the help of the Hodrick-Prescott filter. To calcu-late the data EViews 8 program was used. For the accuracy of the calculations the nominal economic values were adjusted to real ones. To elimi-nate the effect of inflation, the values of the table were indexed using an appropriate price index. In order to determine whether the collected data contains unwant-ed processes such as unit roots, autocorrelation or het-eroskedasticity, and in order to control the accuracy of the model calculations the tests were conducted. The results of the analysis of the proposed model calculations showed that a component factor of GDP by expenditures, namely net exports, has little impact on the cyclical nature of the GDP in Ukraine. When the factor, which reflects investments in research and de-velopment increases by 1%, the cyclical component of the GDP varies by nearly 21%.
