Координаційні тетраедри [GeSe₄]: геометричні та кристалохімічні характеристики

Abstract

Під час дослідження фазоутворення в системі Tl₂Se–GeSe₂ за допомогою методу рентгенівської порошкової дифракції, ми стикнулись із необхідністю незалежної верифікації опублікованих в літературі структурних моделей тернарних фаз вищезгаданої системи. Оскільки деталі вирішення цієї проблеми (винесені за рамки публікації) можуть бути використані при дослідженні інших систем за участю GeSe₂, ми вирішили оформити одержані нами результати у вигляді окремої роботи.

Analysis of the representative set of the [GeSe₄] coordination tetrahedra has revealed the most important geometrical and crystallochemical characteristics of these coordination environments. Thus, the mean Ge⁴⁺ — Se²⁻ – bond length in the [GeSe₄] tetrahedra has been found to be 2.353(17) Å; while the mean volume of these tetrahedra is 6.62(16) Å3. The values of the tetrahedral quadratic elongation of the [GeSe₄] tetrahedra have been found to vary over a quite small range 1.00–1.03, indicating typically low distortion degree of these polyhedra. For the first time, the set of the bond valence parameters (r₀ = 2.350 Å; b = 0.37 Å) has been determined for the Ge⁴⁺/Se²⁻ – ion pair.
