Професійна підготовка перекладачів в Канаді

Abstract

Стаття присвячена аналізу проблеми становлення і функціонування системи професійної підготовки перекладачів в університетах Канади. Особлива увага звертається на підготовку магістрів перекладу. Бібліографічний аналіз показав, що існує велика увага до проблеми підготовки перекладачів та перекладацьких кадрів як у дослідженнях українських так і зарубіжних учених. This article is dedicated to the system of translators’ and interpreters’ training at the Canadian universities. The bibliographic analysis proved that there is a great attention to the problem of translators’ and interpreters’ training both in the researches of Ukrainian and foreign scientists. It is defined that the main aspects which are studied are specialization of translators’ and interpreters’ education, proper using of methods and special approaches to translators’ and interpreters’ training. Special attention is paid to the Master’s degree. According to the content Master’s degree translators’ and interpreters’ programs divides into general (Master’s degree in Translation Studies) and sectoral (Master’s degree in Translation, Master’s degree in Interpretation, Master’s degree in Terminology). Study of the structure and content of Master’s degree programs in Translation and Interpretation allows defining translators’ and interpreters’ training as a system which consists of the following components: purpose-oriented, structure and content, procedural, evaluative and monitoring.
